World of Warcraft and Being "In-The-Know" Pt.2

Welcome back to my "In-The-Know" World of Warcraft series.

Today I'm going to address "non-live game information".

You know that guy who hops on guild chat and starts spouting ZOMG ROGUES IZ GET AXES NEXT PATCH. Ever wonder how they get the infos before the patch even hits?

Your first stop is MMO-Champion

MMO Champ periodically posts information either data mined or posted by Blizzard Developers regarding upcoming changes to classes, quests, raids / dungeons, and bug fixes.

NOTE: Sometimes, but rarely you'll find the offical WoW website posts information on their PTR Patch notes list quicker but its harder to determine since newer bits of information aren't highlighted like on MMO Champ.

Loot lists from unreleased content or usually content on the PTR (Player Test Realm) is also something they do. Can be useful for planning gear upgrades if your a raider.

They also serve as my favorite Class Abilities overview section. On the left side of the page if you click the "Classes" button you'll see a list of all ten pop-up. If you click a class it lists all the abilities of your class divided into ability trees, and listed numerically from highest down to lowest.

Very useful for when leveling up and deciding if you want to head back to town to get skills for a certain level.

All in all very useful stuff for staying on top of things in WoW.

Tune in tomorrow for the third part of my "In-the-know" WoW Series focusing on PVP.
